With humble hearts and deep reverence, we invite you to be part of a sacred moment in our journey — our 2025 Sundance Giveaway Year — in honor of Dr. Brett’s 4th year dancing in the Sundance Ceremony on the Rosebud Lakota Reservation.

The Lakota Sundance is a powerful ceremony of healing, prayer, and ancestral connection. It is a commitment made not just for oneself, but for the collective — for the people, the Earth, and the generations to come. After four years of dancing, the fourth year is especially meaningful: a time of Giving Back.

What Is the Giveaway Year?
The Giveaway Year is a beautiful tradition that allows the dancer and their family to honor and uplift the entire Sundance community with offerings and gifts. It is a ceremony of gratitude, reciprocity, and love.

This year, we will be blessing:

* Our Sundance Chief and ceremony leaders

* The children of the community

* The singers, drummers, supporters and fire keepers who carry the ceremony

* The dedicated helpers of the cook shackthat help provide nourishment for the community

* And many other families of the Rosebud Reservation

These gifts are heartfelt acknowledgments of those who uphold the ceremony and this sacred way of life.
